Jason Castro booted out of American Idol

After giving weaker performances, the dreadlocked heartthrob was booted out of American Idol leaving David Cook, David Archuleta and Syesha Mercado to compete for next week.

Last night, the remaining four contestants performed songs from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Castro, 20, from Rockwall, Texas performed Bob Marley's "I Shot The Sheriff" and "Mr. Tambourine Man".

The show also featured performances from Maroon 5 and former Idol finalist Bo Bice.
